Oak Creek Monster Buck Tracker 6-20-2017

IMG_1471June has been better than we could even imagine. We have seen several bucks that are over 25 inches inside and some even pushing 30 inches. The jump from the last Monster Buck Tracker is huge. This year has been perfect for antler growth.

First, the winter was rather mild and the bucks came out in really good shape. Then it warmed up and the food plots sprang to life and gave them a great early start to growth. Now the Hunter’s Specialties Vita Rack Clover has already been mowed once and is knee high again.

June is always the month we really can see the growth kick into high gear. They have gone from adding inches a week to inches a day. We are already seeing bucks that have us really excited. Several look like they will blowing up the record books come this fall.

This year we have only a few spots left for velvet hunts in August. If you have not tried this it is something you need to do this year. Call us for info on the hunts and dates available.

Oak Creek Monster Buck Tracker 6-1-2017

As the end of May passes us by, the bucks are still doing great. We still believe this is going to be the best season to date as the bucks are well ahead of last years record breaking season.

So far we are very happy with both the Bushnell TrophyCam HD Aggressors and Reconyx Ultrafire cameras. They both have superb quality of photo and video. If you are in need of new cameras or any other sporting goods, Denny Dennis Sporting Goods in St. Louis is our spot of choice. Tell him Oak Creek sent you.M2E179A1L236-168.5910034-168.5910034

Oak Creek Monster Buck Tracker is Back!

With the coming of May, we will be starting the 2017 Oak Creek Monster Buck Tracker. The feedback we got from the one last year was great and are hoping to build on that this season.

We have added several new cameras to our arsenal. This year we will be using Bushnell TrophyCam HD Aggressors and Reconyx Ultrafire cameras. So far we are very happy with both of the new cams. They both have superb quality of photo and video. If you are in need of new cameras or any other sporting goods, Denny Dennis Sporting Goods in St. Louis is our spot of choice. Tell him Oak Creek sent you.

Up to now, the bucks look to be ahead of last year by a couple of weeks. We have already seen some bucks ear wide and many with incredible mass. They are really starting to show the growth now.

The sika are huge this year and came through the winter great. They are also on the fast track to the record books.

What is your favorite style deer? Do you love big, heavy typicals, or do you dream of gnarly Midwestern Non-typicals? Let us know in the comments!

Oak Creek Monster Buck Tracker 9-15-16

The season has begun and the monster bucks have really started moving now that they most are done shedding their velvet. We are getting more shots of them out of sanctuary areas.

pict5209We also finally caught a shot of a big palmated buck on the cams this week. We had seen him a couple of times this summer but had never seen him on the cams.

PICT5070.jpgIf you are looking for drop tines, this buck would make your dreams come true. He has two on the right side and one on the left, plus good width and tine length.

The weather this summer has been perfect for growing huge racks. There has been enough rain to keep the food plots growing good all summer and the heat has not been too high, with only a couple of days near 100 degrees.

The Hunter’s Specialties Vita Rack Clover has been knee high and lush green all summer. It has kept the deer looking slick all summer long. To show the effectiveness of the food plots this summer, in this last set of photos the cameras averaged over 1000 shots in a three day period.

An addition to the Monster Buck Tracker this week is one of the Monster Bulls on the Ranch. We are estimating him at over 370″, with a unique non-typical point at his base.

No matter what kind of deer is your favorite, wide, tall, typical, drop tines, non-typical, your dream deer is going to be at Oak Creek this season.  Our season started September 15th and goes until the end of December. For more information on the deer or your hunt of a lifetime, give us a call anytime @ 573-943-6644 or email us at donald@oakcreekwhitetailranch.com.

pict0975The bucks on Oak Creek Ranch have started to shed their velvet this week. We caught some on them on trail cam. It made for some very cool photos. Several big bucks showed themselves and we added a couple more to the hitlist for the year.

Nature Blind Stump Feeder

Our Nature Blinds Stump Feeder is keeping them coming back over and over. It has kept the deer looking slick and in great shape all summer long. We have seen a deer that has plenty to eat, without the stress of finding food, the buck will most definitely produce a larger rack and the does raise a much better fawn.
